Original article published September 7th, 2024: While the exhaustion surrounding the Nike Dunk is palpable, the fat-tongued skate version still has its loyal crowd of supporters. Collaborative efforts within the skate community including the likes of Alexis Sablone and its thematic efforts like the upcoming Wizard Of Oz fare have kept the SB Dunk in the headlines, but what keeps them on boards are the classic, no-frills constructions that have boded well for skaters.
Up next is this Dark Smoke Grey/Black colorway that makes use of an all-suede upper seen in several of 2024’s SB Dunk drops. Two-toned color-blocking is once again the key to this timeless look, with yellow gum-bottom soles providing that street/skate duality that has made the SB such a massive force to begin with.
Like all of the in-line SB Dunk models, this upcoming Dark Smoke Grey will be hitting skate-shops soon, with a SNKRS release being held sometime in the near future. Expect an MSRP of $115.
