Nike’s Tom Sachs General Purpose Shoe Dupe Is Dropping In Kids Sizes

Nike and Tom Sachs officially parted ways last year, but if you’re a fan of their co-designed General Purpose Shoe, the Beaverton brand has a likeminded dupe called the Nike C1TY that seems to have taken its place. We’ve already previewed a handful of colorways for adults, and it now appears the new formulation will also be made available in grade school sizing.

Embedded below are official images of navy and black colorways for kids, both of which stand out as viable school uniform pieces through simple, quasi-monotone arrangements. Both looks feature white Swoosh logos, with the navy pair opting for red insoles and the black opting for green. Dedicated readers will surely be able to spot the Tom Sachs General Purpose Shoe influence at play; the Nike C1TY features a similar shape and mesh/suede construction up top, complete underfoot with a waffle-inspired sole. Interestingly, the grade school version appears to be less deconstructed than the adult. While adult sizes feature a tongue and collar with thin edges for a more form-fitting appearance, the grade school cut introduces piping in those areas.

Nike hasn’t floated a price or release date yet, so stay tuned for further updates over the coming weeks. In the meantime, scroll through official images of both grade school Nike C1TY colorways below.
