Nike And The Field General ‘82 Run A “Shadow Grey” Play

Though it’s been a staple of the Nike newswire all year, it’s officially Field General season. NFL Sundays returning to our lives means that the Swoosh’s latest lifestyle retro gets the chance to flex its gridiron bonafides all the more, and a steady stream of new colorways hitting the ‘net is all the proof you need. Next up for the model is a “Shadow Grey” edition that leans all the way into simplistic appeal.

True to the title, steely “Shadow Grey” is the chosen accent shade, applied in two-tone color-blocking that surprisingly marks new territory for the Field General. Past looks in “Rust Pink” and “Black/Green” exemplify the silo’s penchant for contrast soles in gum or black, making the synergy between the Swoosh and underfoot section rather novel here. Outside of that piece of intrigue, the selling point of this Field General style can really be understood at first glance; easily worn aesthetics, an accessible price point and some on-field history to cater to football diehards.

The Nike Field General ’82 “Shadow Grey” has already been tabbed for an October 1st release date at retailers- expect these to crop up on SNKRS/Nike.com that same day with a $100 MSRP. Enjoy official images included just ahead.
