LaMelo Ball’s PUMA LaFrance “Assist” Arrives Just Before Halloween

LaMelo's signature lifestyle shoe continues its run in new colorways.

LaMelo Ball’s PUMA LaFrance “Assist” Arrives Just Before Halloween

The arrival of the PUMA MB.04 stands as the biggest LaMelo Ball shoe story of October, but it’s not disrupting the Hornets star’s growing line of lifestyle-focused offerings. With eyes towards Halloween, the PUMA LaFrance will release in a new “Slime” colorway on October 18th.

Named after LaMelo’s middle name, the LaFrance outfits for spooky season with a light green upper and dark midsole, crafted with patent leather overlays this time around. There’s a Nike Kobe 6 “Grinch” comparison to be made here, but let’s stick to the natural order of the holidays for tradition’s sake.

Those familiar with the Osiris D3 (and Lanvin’s Curb Sneaker by extension) surely recognize the tooling at play. The PUMA LaFrance is informed heavily by those two shoes, complete with oval-shaped cutouts, thick laces, and puffed-up interior padding. If by nothing else, the LaFrance distinguishes itself with a TPU heel pull tab, embossed midsole branding, and contrast “PUMA LaFrance” text across the outsoles. Notably, the “Slime” colorway features a mesh tongue and oval panels as opposed to canvas, which has been the norm up until this point.

As mentioned, the PUMA LaFrance “Slime” will release on October 18th for $110. See official images below and take advantage of the purchase links in our “Where To Buy” section for an easy checkout.
