Crocs remains a dominant force in footwear, bringing media franchises far and wide into their oeuvre seemingly every week. Pokemon,on top of decades of influence in television, merchandising, and video games, stands as the highest-grossing IP of all time It’s somewhat of a shock that the two have only met for just two colorways so far. Set to right that and triple their collective output, Pokemon + Crocs are uniting for a collection centered around four of the most iconic ‘mons from the original 151.
Charizard, Jigglypuff, Snorlax, and Gengar are in focus here, the respective Pocket Monsters nabbing their own version of the Classic Clog. All four begin with a marbled pattern across the upper, swirling together the shades of each character’s palettes; Charizard’s echoes his blazing flames while Gengar’s is truly Hypnosis-like. Pokeball graphics on the hinge and the Pokemon franchise logo on the strap close out the co-branded details.
Arriving alongside each shoe is a requisite slate of Jibbitz, displaying the ‘mons first in classic fashion and then in characteristic “action shots,” with Jigglypuff’s aria pose a particular highlight. Additionally, more abstract charms are included to boot, like Snorlax’s gear-shape edition that reflects the Normal type’s TCG logo.
As mentioned in the title, the Pokemon Crocs collection releases via Foot Locker, Kids Foot Locker and Champs Sports on October 17th. All four pairs will be available both online and at select in-store locations. Expect a $70 retail price for men’s sizing and $55 for preschool and grade school size runs. Keep our “Where To Buy” links ahead handy for the release; we’ll keep them updated with direct pick-up links on launch day.
