Nike Gifts Vince Carter Shox BB4 Package To Honor Hall Of Fame Induction

Vince Carter is now a member of the NBA Hall Of Fame, joined by twelve other players, coaches, and broadcasters that will be forever enshrined in Springfield, Massachusetts. Such a special occasion calls for special footwear, and Nike answered the bell, touching down with custom takes on one of the shoes that’s now synonymous with Carter’s name and legacy.

Shown below via images posted by @uninstructedvision are two gold-clad Shox BB4s, a quasi-signature model the Nike-sponsored athlete wore during his playing days. Achieving icon status from Carter’s “Dunk Of Death” during the 2000 Olympics, the shoe now marks another one of Carter’s most memorable moments.

The first pair comes with quilted metallic gold sidewalls and purple Shox cushioning underfoot, tributing the 90s-era Toronto Raptors jerseys Carter wore upon entering the league. The other looks a bit more traditional in appearance, with a gold heel unit complementing a black and white upper. Fittingly, both pairs also feature Carter’s initials and jersey number (which will soon be retired by the Raptors, by the way).

To state the obvious, Carter’s Shox BB4s are intended to be his and his only and will not see a public release. In any case, enjoy detailed images below.
