Train hard, play hard.

Through Proper Training, LeBron James Gets “Better With Age”

For LeBron James, maintaining his level of performance two decades deep is no small (or inexpensive) feat; the King reportedly spends well over a million dollars a year on training and recover. Luckily, one of Nike’s latest silhouettes offers a chance to emulate The Kid From Akron at a much more palatable price.

The LeBron TR1 is James’ first off-the-field model, sporting an ergonomic and lightweight design intended for all-day wear as you tackle your own training. The “Better With Age” is in the chamber as a follow-up to “Dunk Man” and “Purple Rain” colorways, echoing his tenth signature shoe and its own “Cork” edition. Reprised on the 11th and 12th as well, the motif alludes to LeBron’s famous sommelier tendencies.

This particular application also nods to his personal fight against “Father Time,” a battle he has a chance to take the lead in over the next two seasons as he creeps up the NBA’s all-time games played list. In addition to the earthy tones up top, a contrast sole in “Guava Ice” is planted underfoot, also dotting the branding notes throughout for an extra surge of energy.

The Nike LeBron TR1 “Better With Age” releases on November 11th via Nike.com, retailing for $130 and arriving in men’s sizing.
