Nike Serves Up Pink Snakeskin On The Air Force 1 Low

A rosy take on an emerging theme.

Nike Serves Up Pink Snakeskin On The Air Force 1 Low

We’ve come a long way from the “Ivory Snake” Air Force 1 in 1996. The appearance of animal print in that application was seminal enough to make it a “Cult Classic” re-release earlier in 2024, but reptilian outfits are commonplace in modern sneakers. As we look towards the “Year of the Snake” collection next year, Nike is tapping the reliable “Uptown” to further the idea.

Sporting the same blocking as the “Black Snakeskin” colorway we uncovered earlier, this swaps out its topmost overlays for the scaly arrangement, delivering rosy tonality in the process. Lush suede hits on the Swoosh redouble the premium atmosphere, but some notably street style contrast comes with the inclusion of a gum bottom underfoot.

It’s unclear whether this growing pack will spread to further editions of the AF1 or other mainline Nike staples, but this certainly tees up some of the serpentine offerings we’ve already caught wind of. The Kobe 5 “Year of the Mamba,” Jordan 11 “Year of the Snake” and “Year of the Snake” Dunks all fit the bill — with demand expected to be high around those releases, this could serve as a more accessible counterpart if the concept has caught your attention.

Expect the Nike Air Force 1 Low “Pink Snakeskin” to land on shelves this Holiday season, along with the matching style mentioned above. Retail is set at $130.
