The Nike Shox Ride 2 Goes Tonal In “Anthracite”

The Nike Shox Ride 2 Goes Tonal In “Anthracite”

In recent memory, the Nike Shox retro effort has been carried by the Shox TL and Shox R4. As those respective silhouettes near two and one year on the market, however, Beaverton is clearly thinking about reinforcements. The Shox Ride 2 is here to provide, and a new “Anthracite” colorway enters the queue as we anticipate the model’s market debut.

The upper is draped heel to toe in steely grey, a tonal choice that again demonstrates how the Shox Ride 2 will likely capitalize on more neutral fare than its two aforementioned peers. Perhaps that’s a wise choice; with its chrome Swoosh, weaving overlays and mesh composition, its top half shares a lot of the design language that’s made other tech runners styles (Vomero 5, New Balance 1906R, GEL-Kayano 14) become industry-leading titans. To finish out the shoe, the titular cushioning pillars underfoot instead get draped in “Jade Horizon,” adding some cool contrast in the closing details.

The Nike Shox Ride 2 “Anthracite” hits SNKRS on November 21st, retailing for $190.
