A Bathing Ape Is Dropping A “What The Camo” Bape Sta

Anyone with a passive knowledge of sneakers and streetwear understands the connection, stated or not, between Nike and BAPE. While the Japanese company has shifted its product to less starkly resemble that of the Beaverton one, the guiding light for the latest colorway of their tentpole model takes another page of the Swoosh catalog with the Bape Sta “What The Camo.”

While camouflage patterns have been a staple of A BATHING APE for their entire history, the multi-colored prints featured here may require some unraveling. Each palette represents one of the BAPE stores across the United States, with their two New York locations represented alongside the LA, Miami, Chicago, Las Vegas, and upcoming New Jersey stores. For those with a keen eye, you’ll spot a curved quarter panel, confirming that this “What The” colorway continues the new build of the Sta introduced mid-November with two Croc colorways. As a closing touch, the shoebox splits into a checkered reflection of the identical camo prints.

The BAPE Sta “What The Camo” releases on November 29th, naturally dropping at each of the locations mentioned above, as well as on the US Bape website. A matching tee and Shark hoodie will also be coming alongside.
