Paige Bueckers and her UConn squad remain one of the biggest draws in college sports, likely only amplifying as we creep closer to March Madness. Further down the line, her story will likely jump from Connecticut to Texas, with the Dallas Wings holding the #1 pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft. However, the ink isn’t dry on her college career yet and there’s still plenty of milestones to tick off. December 7th and the release of the Paige Bueckers GT Hustle 3 marks some major history, ushering the 22-year-old into the Nike canon as the first NIL athlete with her own PE kicks.

While we’ve had official images of this pair for a bit, official Nike press emphasizes the selling points of this shoe in crystal clear fashion. The tongues sport alternating embroidery; the left shoe sporting intersecting area codes from Connecticut and Buecker’s Minnesota home while the right might just give us a preview of a Paige Bueckers signature logo, combining a crosshatched bucket with her initials.

At the heel of the GT Hustle 3, you can catch some more sentimental ties, sporting a “Be You, Be Great” text bubble graphic that mirrors Bueckers’ father’s message to his superstar daughter before every game and cross-out text displaying her “Paige Buckets” nickname. Zooming out, the pastel arrangment of this shoe hits on the UConn’s sensations favorite pantones.
