The shoe will be released exclusively in women’s sizing on November 11th, 2025 and goes by “Grand Finale,” although the inspiration behind the nickname isn’t clear at the time of this update. Original article published December 10th, 2024: 2025 will be unprecedented in the Jumpman lineage for many reasons — never-before-seen access to “grail” level releases like the Jordan 4 “Undefeated” and Air Jordan 1 “Bred,” sequels for uber-coveted pairs via the Union Jordan 1 and Off-White Jordan 1, the list goes on. However, the latest update to the slate brings a novel wrinkle regarding mainline releases. For the first time, three Air Jordan 11 colorways will hit the shelves in the closing quarter of the year, as the Air Jordan 11 “Sail” has joined the mix.
The reliable leak team of @zsneakerheadz and Sneaker Files again brings this update, confirming a palette of Sail/Pearl Grey/White/Metallic Silver. Notably, the news comes shortly after news of the one-two-punch expected to drop at the very end of the year, the Jordan 11 “Gamma” and Jordan 11 “Rare Air.”
Even if the sheer quantity of AJ11 releases is something we haven’t seen before, there is plenty of precedent in the Jumpman providing a less-coveted or lower-heat edition as a foil to the yearly Holiday drop. Look to the “Bred Velvet” that contrasts this year’s Legend Blue 11, the “Neapolitan” vs. the “Gratitude” from 2023, or the “Cherry” and “Midnight Navy” from a year prior.
To that end, it’s unclear whether this will take on the traditional leather build that the women’s Neapolitan did or if this will execute the velveteen/suede overhaul that appears with some frequency. Note that the preliminary mock-up images hint towards the latter, but this far out, those details are far from concrete.
