Hairy Suede Appears On The Nike Ja 2 “Iron Grey”

A "Cobalt Bliss" pattern overtakes the Swoosh.

Hairy Suede Appears On The Nike Ja 2 “Iron Grey”

The Ja 1 was one of Nike’s best selling basketball shoes during its 18-month stint on shelves, meaning there’s a lot counting on Morant’s subsequent signature model being an equally fruitful success story. Although the Ja 2 has only been out for a couple months at the time of this writing, performance reviews have been solid and colorways have been plenty compelling. This “Iron Grey” colorway brings an understated aesthetic to the court, currently earmarked for a Spring 2025 release.

Official images reveal a fairly balanced material variety up top, with a mesh toe box, hairy suede toe overlay, and synthetic sidewalls all taking the titular “Iron Grey” hue. The heel panel blends into the midsole with “Sail” leather, while the Swoosh offers up a distressed-looking pattern in “Cobalt Bliss.” The tongue logos swap between black and red on the left and right shoes, respectively, complete with reflective backtabs that amplify the “12:AM” stitching.

The Ja 2 “Iron Grey” is slated to release during the Spring 2025 shopping season, marked with the usual $120 shelf price. See official images below if you’re considering copping.
