Devin Booker Unwraps A Nike Book 1 “Nightmare Before Christmas” PE Inspired By Oogie Boogie

In the nightcap for a stacked NBA Christmas slate that far surpassed its billing, Devin Booker embraced the increased spotlight and made some sneaker headlines. The superstar shooting guard laced up another knockout player exclusive, this time spinning off the hardware of his two holiday-themed GR pairs.

Each of the most lasting characters from the stop motion animated classic share the same stitched composition, but Oogie Boogie arguably utilizes it to its most impactful effect. Keeping that touch from the two opposing “Halloween” and “Christmas” colorways is thus only natural for this PE do-up.

As for the lime green overtones that coat this shoe, recall the half-jovial, half-unsettling “Oogie Boogie’s Song” sequence — during that jazzed-up number, the antagonist shines under a backlight, sharing the glow-in-the-dark style flair that Book’s edition proudly wears.

With the 2024 Holiday slate coming to a close, don’t expect the “Oogie Boogie” Nike Book 1 to be hitting the public anytime soon. However, with Book’s love for the franchise well-documented, he took special care to personally show off the shoe. You can catch his angles and shots from in-game action included below.

For some pairs that will get a general release, check out official images of the Book 1 “Sedona” and an advanced look at the Book 1 “Forrest Gump.”
