First Look At The Nike VaporFly 4, The Lightest Runner Of The Series

The high-powered distance runner gets a fourth model soon.

First Look At The Nike VaporFly 4, The Lightest Runner Of The Series

Sneaker News brings you a first look at the Nike ZoomX VaporFly NEXT% 4, the fourth chapter in the modern marvel running series. The VaporFly 4 is currently expected to release beginning this April 2025; see below for first look images and a tech breakdown.

The VaporFly series is a high-end specialized running model that is tailored to the specific needs of distance runners, which includes energy return, stability, and smooth transition.

It’s clear to see the AlphaFly 3‘s design influence on the VaporFly 4; the outer lip that circumvents the heel is very much an AF3 element, while the enlarged Swoosh logo returns, dipping down into the midsole. The VaporFly 4 also utilizes the firm and springy carbon fiber Flyplate in a full-length set-up, while a full ZoomX cushion unit sits beneath. Unlike the AlphaFly series, the VaporFly 4 does not featured a visible Zoom Air pod at the forefoot.

The VaporFly 4 is also expected to be the lightest of the entire series, with reports of 190g weigh-ins for a men’s size 10, roughly a 10g reduction from the VaporFly 3.

Release date information has not yet been revealed, but the new model is expected to hit retail beginning April 2025 for $260 (same as the current model). In addition to in-line colorways, expect a “Prototype” colorway as well as several other unique editions from Nike’s ongoing color story series’.
