It’s finally happening; Devin Booker and Nike Basketball are bringing some of the Book 1 PEs he’s been wearing to market. Following the “Cortez” Book 1, we’re learning that the “Mowabb” colorway will in fact see a public release.

Booker introduced us to the “Mowabb” Book 1 all the way back in March of 2024, aka towards the beginning of his first signature model’s rollout. The design pays homage to the iconic Nike ACG hiking boot, specifically its original “Twine” colorway, with a likeminded mix of colors and materials.

The front of the shoe favors tan nubuck material, while the quarter section transitions into tweed. Vibrant pops of teal appear on the collar, tongue, and outsole, and the midsole comes in grey with white specks. The design also incorporates an orange mini Swoosh on the lateral side, keeping with the theme at hand, and the spine features Mowabb-inspired text reading “Air Book.”

Where there’s smoke there’s fire, and it’s now entirely plausible to think Nike Basketball might be planning to release more Book 1 PEs inspired by past Nike classics (like the “Neon” Book 1 he wore in December of 2023).

Nike Basketball hasn’t confirmed a US release date for the “Mowabb” Book 1 yet, but it’s likely that pairs will land sometime during the Spring/Summer 2025 shopping season. See detailed images below and keep our Sneaker Release Dates page handy for all the latest updates.
