Where To Buy The “What The Bay” Curry 12

All eyes were already on the Bay Area, but two storylines are forcing us to pay extra attention: Jimmy Butler adding to the Golden State roster and the release of Steph’s UA Curry 12 “What the Bay.” The mismatch pair is set to release on February 14th via UnderArmour.com and a slew of additional retailers, including Shoe Palace who will be hosting their own Bay-exclusive release. The shoe arrives in adult, GS and preschool sizing ($140, $100, $90, respectively.)

First revealed at Sneaker Con San Francisco by Curry himself and local legend E-40, the unavoidable “What The” theme finally graces #30’s signature line. It’s obviously an opportune moment to utilize the concept, as the Warriors will play host to ASW for the fourth time.

While some of the finer details of the shoe express Curry’s deep ties to the Bay Area (“Thank You 415” text on the tongue alluding to SF’s area code), the illuminating design is the mismatched gradients on the upper of each shoe. The Warriors’ classic blue and gold color schemes gets subtle ombres on either, taken from light blue on the cerulean edition to deep sunset orange on the yellow. As with all UA Curry 12 releases, performance still remains the focus for this pair, combining sticky traction, a segmented forefoot plate and the brand’s proprietary UA Flow cushioning for an all-around package.
