Devin Booker Shares Nike Book 1 PE Inspired By Steve Nash’s Cradle Rock Signature Shoe

Happy Birthday, legend.

Devin Booker Shares Nike Book 1 PE Inspired By Steve Nash’s Cradle Rock Signature Shoe

Becoming the all-time leading scorer of an NBA franchise might inflate some people’s ego, but Devin Booker is maintaining his same humble attitude while paying homage to the legends that paved his way. The Phoenix Suns star showed off another Nike Book 1 PE on Instagram, unveiling a design inspired by Steve Nash’s signature Nike Cradle Rock Low on his 51st birthday.

The Cradle Rock Low debuted in 2009, right around the end of the Hall Of Famer’s second stint with the Suns. Just like the Book 1, the shoe gives off a lifestyle-focused impression with its low-top, leather build and familiar layering.

Steve Nash isn’t known for having the most memorable signature shoe line, but his adoption of low-tops in the early 2000s greatly helped shift preferences across the league. With that being said, it’s entirely plausible that there’s no Book 1 as we know it without Nash and other trendsetters like Kobe.

The Book 1 “Cradle Rock” PE works off a “Phoenix Suns Home” colorway from 2009 (pictured above), basically translating all the same features of that shoe onto the modern silhouette. Every detail is on point, including defining qualities like a flannel-lined tongue and minute factors like the toe box perforations.

These won’t see a public release, but upcoming Book 1s include a “Black Label” colorway and Converse crossover tributing Booker’s Suns scoring title. Our Sneaker Release Dates page contains information about all upcoming Devin Booker shoes and more.
