Dominating the tech runner vertical in Beaverton for the past few years since its 2022 introduction, the model is showing no sign of slowing down. Case in point is the fact that it doesn’t even take the wildest colorways to mark sellouts even this deep into its lifespan, something that’ll perhaps be the case with the “White/Gum” affair featured here.
A touch we’ve seen a few times before, the gum sole underfoot, imbuing a bit of skate sensibility in its inclusion, is really the standout feature. Simply on a visual level, the snowy treatments that take up the rest of the real estate make that abundantly clear. While it does de-emphasize the layered, techy construction that has made the model such a hit, we’ve seen enough colorways on this shoe to know that it can still nail an off-speed pitch. As far as comfort-minded, summery footwear, you can find far worse candidates to enter your rotation as we look to warmer weather.
As a true general release, there’s no concrete release date attached to the Nike Zoom Vomero 5 “White/Gum.” Anticipate the shoe appearing on Nike.com sometime in the coming weeks with a $160 retail price (women’s).
