New Balance is celebrating NBA All-Star Weekend in San Fransisco by linking up with a familiar collaborator out on the West Coast. Los Angeles streetwear brand Bricks & Wood, which previously touched up the New Balance 9060 and New Balance 1906R, will soon play a key role in introducing the world to the Boston brand’s next performance basketball model.
The New Balance Fresh Foam BB v3, previewed exclusively by Sneaker News in October of 2024, will debut by way of a Bricks & Wood collab on February 14th. Bricks & Wood has authored a campaign called A Different Bounce in honor of the occasion, launching a teaser video that bridges on-court dynamics with the culture that surrounds the game. True to that ethos, a collaborative New Balance 1000 will release in tandem with the new performance model.
Both models are touted in black and yellow, likely taking inspiration from Golden State Warriors uniforms. The BB v3 comes drenched in yellow, save for a black tongue and sock liner, complete with “BW” branding around the medial side of the heel. Meanwhile, the New Balance 1000 stands out with reflective black overlays that change to yellow when hit with a camera flash.
