LeBron James Debuts Nike LeBron 22 “Captain Planet” For All-Star Game

The NBA All-Star Game is where signature athlete superstars show out in some special edition footwear for the game. Last year, King James broke out the LeBron 21 “Prime Year” hybrid that combined the Air DT Max ’96. Tonight, he would’ve laced up the LeBron 22 “Captain Planet” inspired by one of his favorite childhood cartoon heroes.

This Nike LeBron 22 PE features the same colors of blue, green, and red seen on Captain Planet, the fictional figure that advocated for environmentalism. The signature ocean blue appears on the outsole and Swoosh that wraps around the shoe, while the red chest plate appears on the upper half to balance out the colors. Captain Planet’s green hair is represented on the shoe-laces, while the gold globe symbol is represented by the Swoosh.

Unfortunately, LeBron is missing the game due to an ankle injury.
