The Air Jordan 1 High ’85 “Irregular Shadow” Is A Tokyo Exclusive

Updated July 24th, 2025: The Air Jordan 1 High ’85 “Irregular Shadow” is currently expected to be a Tokyo exclusive. If you happen to be in the area, raffles are beginning to go live, including the aforementioned one hosted by V.A. Tokyo. Get your entries in here and keep our coverage within reach if you aren’t on the island for any updates as to when/if global pairs will touch down.

Official images of the Air Jordan 1 High ’85 “Irregular Shadow” have just been uploaded, confirming the color-blocking and aged midsole seen via Hiroshi Fujiwara’s first look shots. Perhaps more importantly, it also showcases the hardware in more crystalline detail: the raised collar, modified Swoosh and overall OG-minded shape are intact for this follow-up to the “Bred.”

This colorway is still queued up for a Summer 2025 release. Given that window stretches from April to June, the arrival of these shots may indicate a release is closer than we originally imagined. Keep our Jordan Release Dates landing page close by for further info, or scroll ahead for a further breakdown of this shoe’s narrative.

Original article published March 4th, 2025: Who thought that the Air Jordan 1 High would be the hottest commodity of 2025? After a bit of a stumble in its overall approval rating, the “Unbannable” campaign and subsequent limited release of the original “Bred” has easily made Mike’s first signature the defining story of the year. Can the Jumpman go two for two? We’ll find out this Summer with the Air Jordan 1 High ’85 “Irregular Shadow,” revealed for the very first time by Beaverton VIP Hiroshi Fujiwara.

Largely, the arrangement from the original leaks remains, inverting the black and grey panels from the beloved “Shadow” while pinning an off-white faux-aged midsole underfoot. Perhaps the more intriguing aspect is the composition, coming on the”High ’85” build almost exclusively reserved for OG colorways. Indeed, though this look isn’t part of the official 1985 canon, the “Irregular Shadow” joins the “Georgetown” and “Varsity Red” in reprising original sample layouts, produced but never let loose for the public.

The Air Jordan 1 High ’85 “Irregular Shadow” does mark the first appearance of the still-inescapable “aged midsole” on the Hi ’85. Including that touch seems like confirmation that this joins the crop of sneakers specifically tooled to reflect the silhouette’s storied history. The “Lost and Found” concept can be seen as the first step of that journey, with the Air Jordan 1 “Bred” that lit timelines on fire earlier this year arguably its apex.

Even if the Fragment founder imparts our first look at the shoe, it doesn’t provide further clarification regarding its release. If initial reports hold, expect the Air Jordan 1 High ’85 “Irregular Shadow” releasing in Summer 2025, retailing at $200.
