The Nike Air SuperFly Retro Marches On In “Ale Brown”

A hard-to-ignore look for Spring/Summer.

The Nike Air SuperFly Retro Marches On In “Ale Brown”

The ever-shifting winds of cyclical fashion has brought the Swoosh to bring back a host late 90s/early aughts classics: the Air Max Sunder and Air Max Craze each fit the bill. However, Beaverton is also aiming at fleshing out their women’s catalog with the same strategy. The Nike Air SuperFly is its strongest soldier in that regard, now appearing in an off-kilter “Ale Brown” edition.

As laid out in official Nike press, the impetus for bringing the model back to shelves was partially the building trend of low-profile, minimalist silhouettes, something the thin upper and simplified construction of the SuperFly totally embodies. Shedding the Y2K design principles seen on the debut “Metallic Silver” pair, an off-kilter blend of “Ale Brown” siding, a “Treeline” sole unit and “Team Red” Swoosh are attention-grabbing in almost the opposite way, offering up some novel statement footwear for the warmer months ahead.

As a true general release, the Nike Air SuperFly “Ale Brown” will likely pop up on Nike.com and at partnering retailers sometime in the coming weeks, retailing at $100 upon arrival.
