A Look At Some Nike Zoom GT Cut 3 Turbo PEs On Court

Amid a load of headline-grabbing details in Nike’s “Black Label” pack, the introduction of the Nike Zoom GT Cut 3 Turbo was one of the more eye-opening for hoopers. Given the GT line represents some of the label’s most well-recieved offerings, an upgrade on the beloved GT Cut 3 attracted a ton of attention. While the original all-black remains available at retailers, we’re still awaiting further looks. In the meantime, ballers like Jrue Holiday and Jordan Poole have shown off exclusive looks, debuting fresh colorways in recent NBA action.

We’ll begin with Poole’s pair, notable as the Michigan product has long been a face of the “Greater Than” series. His embraces a “Total Orange” tonal look, interrupted by a pure white Swoosh. It’s a continuation of the playful aesthetics that his player exclusives have consistently championed. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Jrue Holiday’s cerulean cut is clearly tooled to match his Milwaukee squad’s City Edition, particularly striking with the translucent window beneath the collar.

The aesthetics are one thing, but this also allows us to get a view at some of the new upgrades that set the Turbo above the GT Cut 3. In either of these side angles, you can spot the slice of Carbon fiber on the lateral side, a new addition aimed at capturing better lockdown than its predecessor. While not immediately apparent in these shots, a second later of Zoom X foam on the insole is the second major innovation, providing a more cushioned, propulsive fit along with the new plush tongue. Finally, the most immediately apparent touch, new streamlined geometry creates a visual demarcation from what we became used to on the GT Cut 3.

While the “PE” subtitle usually indicates that these colorways will stay siloed to Holiday and Poole’s closets, the public release of a previous Poole pair leaves the door slightly ajar. Regardless of whether they hit the public, they’re plenty intriguing even from afar — catch in-game shots included throughout the piece. As mentioned, the “Black Label” GT Cut 3 Turbo remains available from select retailers; check the “Where To Buy” section after the break to grab yours.
