As part of a modern basketball push helmed by Shaquille O’Neill and Allen Iverson, Reebok is rapidly signing hoops talent from the NIL level all the way up to the pros. While we’ll inevitably see more new Reebok Basketball models in order to accomodate the brand’s stable of players, including an eventual Angel Reese shoe, the Reebok Engine A stands as the lone modern-age option available (for now). Following “Black/Silver” and “Solar Lime” colorways, the model is continuing its slow and steady rollout with “Electric Red” on May 15th.
Saddled with an official color palette of “Energy Red/Electric Amber/Black,” the sneaker lends a fiery appearance with a slight metallic tint across the upper overlays. The design gradually shifts into orange tones on the midsole, with the “Electric Amber” hue taking over following a gradient transition. As far as performance goes, the Engine A features Reebok SuperFloat cushioning in the midsole; the same material utilized in some of the brand’s most popular runners. A rubber outsole featuring a TPU shank lives underfoot, while a molded heel cap enhances durability.
As mentioned, the Reebok Engine A “Electric Red” releases May 15th via reebok.com. The model retails for $120 and has thus far been made available in unisex sizing. See official images below and visit our Sneaker Release Dates page for more.
