For decades, Nike has championed the point of view that anybody with a body is an athlete. That may be true, but select sponsees under their umbrella prove that they’re truly built different. Case in point, Jakob Ingebrigtsen. The world record holder, has represented the Swoosh for both of his Olympic golds, and they’re finally paying him back with the upcoming “Jakob Essentials” pack.
Centered around the brand’s foremost road runners and track spikes, the capsule is united by a concept of “quiet confidence,” pairing subtle base colors with flashes of the prestigious gold that Ingebrigtsen has brought home. While his Olympic feats are the most obvious inspiration, each piece of performance wear also pulls from personal details like his trademark titanium gold jewelry. Finishing out each shoe with a fitting flourish of subtle detailing, five Nordic stars and an “Only For Me” mantra appear on the insoles.

TheNike x Jakob Ingebrigsten “Jacob Essentials” collection hits Nike.com on May 15th, with the Pegasus 41 retailing at $150, the Zoom Fly 6 at $180, and the Vaporfly Next% 4 at $270. As mentioned, two spike styles, the ZoomX Dragonfly 2 and Air Zoom Victory 2, will also drop alongside a range of apparel.
