The Nike Total 90 III Slithers Into Three Snakeskin Looks

Performance turned lifestyle turned fashion.

The Nike Total 90 III Slithers Into Three Snakeskin Looks

If there was any doubt or hesitation in crowning soccer style as the biggest footwear movement of the season, it’s been squarely assuaged in the past few weeks. Even limiting to Beaverton, the Swoosh has introduced the Cryoshot pillar and issued the splashiest moment for the Nike Total 90 III to date with a dotSWOOSH link-up.

Now, the mainline Total 90 III is beginning to spread its wings, letting loose two SE variations that changes from quilted leather into faux snakeskin. Though obviously distinct for their choice of primary shade, the “Fire Red” and “Pale Ivory’ colorways on offer here have more in common than in contrast, pairing their expressive uppers with reigned-in sole units underfoot and sharing the less pronounced stitch lines to tie back to traditional pairs.

Though reptilian retrofits weren’t actually dropped during the silhouette’s run as an earnest cleat in the 2000s, nonetheless this continues the flashy on-pitch energy suddenly in vogue for lifestyle applications. Should either pair speak to you, keep July 1st circled — overseas retailers have already posted both pairs for that date. The duo will each command a $120 retail price.
