The Whitaker Group Adds JAIDE, Its First Ever Women’s Luxury Retail Boutique

The business of retail is a science. It’s a never-ending balancing act of cutting-edge brick-and-mortar spaces, elegantly designed web-stores conducive to checkouts, standout marketing and social media, management of millions of dollars worth of inventory, getting the right product on shelves, and launching great collaborative product. It’s a cutthroat business, and it’s been admittedly brutal due to economic downturns combined with once-reliable brands not longer being the revenue anchors they once were.

It’s admirable to see consistency in this age. James Whitner’s The Whitaker Group, which consists of A Ma Maniere, The Social Status, and APB, is in that exclusive society of shopfronts that are running on all cylinders all the time. The announcement of JAIDE, the first-ever Women’s luxury retail boutique under the umbrella, is another intentional step in The Whitaker Group’s mission to champion inclusivity and representation through its business practices.

According to The Whitaker Group, JAIDE is a space designed for women to feel seen, heard, and inspired. After all, the shop is named after Whitner’s daughter, so what better way to give the girls a spotlight than to have one’s own name displayed so proudly?

JAIDE is opening Summer 2025 in two cities–Atlanta (903 Marietta St NW) and Charlotte (1506 Central Ave). Expect to see a choice selection of brands such as Ganni, Casablanca, Human Made, Fear of God Essentials, Who Decides War, and more. In addition to the elevated retail experience, JAIDE offers a community lounge space and even a bar, which suggests women-focused special events, brand activations, and more. The new retail store will host a special opening night event in collaboration with New Balance to launch an exclusive 990v8 and 998; details to come.
