With triple digit temperatures teeing off across the continental US, anything with capsaicin is likely absolutely last on your current want list. However, Nike has increasingly picked up that very aesthetic throughout its summer offerings, chipping off variations of the Air Max 2013, GT Hustle 3, and Shox TL with peppery palettes. It’d appear that they’re continuing to roll with the idea, now grafting “Bright Crimson” and “Green Strike” onto the Nike Air Pegasus Wave.

Already with its tech runner composition, the Pegasus Wave would easily mark the “trendiest” take on this spicy concept, yet it furthers that by refusing to limit the gradient pattern to just the synthetic quarter cage. Instead, it continues through piping that coats rear and front overlays, additionally chalking off the interior tongue and forefoot Air tag, respectively, as dueling territory.

Look for the Nike Pegasus Wave “Bright Crimson/Green Strike” to hit Nike.com and retail partners in the near future, clocking in at $170.
