Andrew Rizzo Updated July 21st, 2025: The Nike Ja 3 “NY vs NY” will release on July 21st, 2025 on SNKRS via Exclusive Access. Offers to purchase the Ja 3 ‘NY vs. NY’ will go out to a selection of Nike members who currently reside in the city of New York and have entered one or more SNKRS launches for previous NY vs. NY product. The shoes also released in-store at Foot Locker 34th St. on July 21st.
The arrival of Ja Morant’s third signature shoe is just around the corner. First debuting during the early stages of the 2025 NBA Playoffs in the “Max Volume” colorway, the Nike Ja 3 has consistently wowed the crowd with upcoming colorways that tie back to specific moments. In checking off a theme that’s been revisited on every Ja Morant shoe thus far, the model has emerged in a “NY vs NY” style inspired by Nike’s sponsored NYC streetball tournament.
Shown for the first time during a SNKRS Showcase live product preview, the “NY vs NY” Ja 3 is suited for the concrete jungle with a predominantly black colorway. Quite cleverly, the shoe’s angled Swoosh logo is accompanied by a spray-painted “A” in red around the heel, thus spelling out “JA” if you use your imagination a bit. Otherwise, the logo for the NY vs NY streetball tournament appears in light blue on the tongue. The sneaker is a part of three-pack tied to Ja’s upcoming “Make ‘Em Watch” tour, which will see stops in Atlanta, NYC, and China.
