Coming on the heels of the Barcelona Kobe Air Force 1, now the soccer initiative spreads into the signature line via the Nike Kobe 4 Protro “FC Barcelona.”
While the Uptowns were the first revealed, this is the splashiest entry in the official collaboration between the Bryant estate and Barcelona. Famously a Barcelonista during his life, his love for the Spanish outfit unofficially inspired a range of signature releases on models from the 6 to the 11, yet this marks the first time that the two sides earnestly join hands. The synergy is particularly undeniable with the pair at hand, sharing the exact color scheme of the squad’s third kit, sporting the iconic sheath logo atop this same cream and royal blue split.

Closer inspection of these initial shots reveals that both arms of this collaboration are well-represented. Barcelona’s logo appears on the lace dubrae, inside tongue, and insoles, and though the legacy shines through plenty with the model itself, snakeskin applications on the frontmost overlay ensure you can’t miss the Mamba’s influence.
