Matt Varga Throughout 2025, ASICS has been steadily ramping up their efforts behind the GEL-Quantum 360 and GEL-Nimbus 10.1 to take over as new faces of the brand. Yet it’ll take more than a handful of collaborations to knock off their longer tenured icons, certainly true of the GEL-KAYANO 14 or GT-2160, but equally going for the ASICS GEL-NYC.
Sporting a chunkier aesthetic than some of its catalog peers, the Angelo Baque-assisted silhouette has rushed out to become one of the brand’s more popular GR models since its 2023 debut. Over that time, we’ve gotten used to spotting looks that champion neutral, earthy shades, still somewhat the case with the “Polar Night” at hand but broken in part due to that shade. oceanic blue overtakes the mesh foundation for a novel color-blocking scheme, accented by metallic silver one layer above and given a running mate with the baby pink flashes at the heel counter and very rear.
