The Nike Ja 3 Continues Its Impressive Run In “Black/Grey”

Another strong colorway lands on the new Ja Morant shoe.

The Nike Ja 3 Continues Its Impressive Run In “Black/Grey”

We’re right on the cusp of the Nike Ja 3 debut, and barring any huge performance letdowns, it’s already to safe to say Nike scored a huge win. Signature shoes are starting to feel like signature shoes again, and Morant’s latest model is the best example of that claim we’ve seen thus far. It’s energetic, it’s edgy, it’s unique… it’s Ja Morant in a bottle (or shoe box). With the Ja 3 “NY vs NY” set to begin the model’s rollout on July 22nd, we’re now getting a first look at another compelling colorway for Fall/Holiday 2025.

Nike designers strive to turn their athlete’s unique identifiers into what they call “competitive advantages,” and that’s exactly what we see with the Ja 3. Morant’s arrow-like signature logo looms over basically the entire sneaker, providing lockdown up top and traction underfoot. The upper pattern appears in light blue over a black mesh base, while the tread layer comes in uniform icy blue. The slanted Swoosh around the lateral heel follows suit in light blue, while gold hits on the “12” branding underfoot add some more pizzazz.

As if its compelling aesthetic isn’t enough, the Ja 3 is also the first ever signature Nike/Jordan sneaker to feature ZoomX cushioning. When compared to other ZoomX silos like the GT Cut 3 and Jordan 40, the shoe’s $130 price tag stands out as quite a bargain.

No concrete release date for this particular Nike Ja 3 has been announced, but as mentioned, the model debuts July 22nd in the “NY vs NY” colorway.
