Nike’s Rufus Debuts Leather And ACG Branding

Nike’s Rufus Debuts Leather And ACG Branding

Nike ACG has always had a niche yet overall cult fanbase, so though their products may not offer the same sell-out potential seen elsewhere in the catalog, their recent bring-back efforts have been well placed all the same. The Rufus has been rather restrained in its release cadence since returning to the shelves in early 2024, taking time to establish its OG looks before getting a bit more experimental.

The variation we’ve got today offers one of the more significant compositional changes to date, changing into leather exteriors and plush interiors. Though the hardened outsole allows the shoe to sit a bit adjacent to the general slip-on category, comprehensive “Light British Tan” treatments in the upper immediately call “grandpa shoes” like the New Balance Allerdale to mind. Given the restrained reaction to its first handful of colorways, perhaps being a bit more radical in form will open up a different lane for the Rufus as it seeks to truly gain a foothold.

The Nike ACG Rufus in leather and “Light British Tan” should touch down as a part of the Fall 2025 slate, retailing for its usual $110 sticker price.
