Sneaker News Years from now, we’ll look back at the 2025 as one tentpole year for Nike Running. One of the pillars holding it all up is the new Vomero Premium, the most advanced iteration of the Vomero running shoe blessed with a succulently thick midsole.
Recently, we revealed a taste of what’s to come in terms of the colorways. On the women’s size, we have the launch version in the Vomero Premium “Blue Tint” and a forthcoming “Hyper Pink”. On the men’s side is the white/orange pair that was already revealed, an this upcoming “Barely Green” that has that unisex energy.
The goal may have been to respond to the running community’s demands of thicker soles, but Nike’s been going that route for quite some time with the super-charged AlphaFly family. The Vomero Premium does indeed hit the trend a bit more accurately with less of heel-drop, but it’s unbridled cushioning via the ZoomX foam and the visible Zoom Air at the fore-foot and the heel. Truly a beast if you’re all about maximum cushioning; if you’re more inclined to high response, check out the Pegasus Premium.
While firm release dates for these newly revealed colorways haven’t been shared, we do know that Nike plans to release the Vomero Premium beginning October 2025. This “Barely Green” version, which has hits of Flat Pewter, Volt, and Light Silver, is part of the larger seasonal collection and should be available by the end of 2025.
