The Nike NOCTA Glide “White/Black” touches down via EU retailers on August 15th, commanding a €160 retail price or local equivalent. A US drop is expected in September 20th. Despite 2024 being a year in which Drake’s took hits left and right, in footwear it was one of his more bountiful periods; the Hot Step 2 has emerged as a sleeper secondary market success, some colorways commanding well over $100 above MSRP. Perhaps it’s that recent run that propels this quick turnaround retro, revitalizing the second signature NOCTA design. Compositionally, the inspiration from the Zoom Flight 95 remains front-and-center on this bright edition, pasting its gridded arrangement within the midsole pods and across the quarter panel/mudguard. The outsole pods combine two long-time NOCTA trademarks; the Sword logo provides them traction while they’re doused in off-tone bright yellow.
