Nike Made A Diet Version Of Bode’s Astro Grabber

Anyone who’s paid attention in the sneaker space for more than a year likely could’ve identified what was really going on with 2024’s Bode Astrograbber collection. Though the leather-coated version of the archival silhouette was successful on its own merits, it was a platform for which Nike could soft launch a return of the model to the modern fold.

Where Beaverton subverted expectation is in how long it took for that to bear fruit. A second Bode collection took place in the time between the original and actual mainline applications, now set to begin at the end of August. As things get cooking on an inline basis, the Swoosh is now returning to the Bode script, but on a tacit basis; the leather make-up the NYC imprint introduced appears with this upcoming pair. The white contrast trim is absent, and a general aged atmosphere helps set this one apart, taking over the Swoosh, collar, laces, and a translucent sole unit.

Expect this Nike Astrograbber “Black/Muslin” to touch down in the coming weeks, potentially carrying a premium on the silhouette’s usual $135 retail price.
