By virtue of a market debut that came a year-plus after its peers, the Nike Shox Ride 2 currently sits as the tertiary member of the product family, at least in terms of overall quantity. However, Nike has wasted no time in letting the silhouette take on truly experimental concepts, recently letting loose a Cordura upgrade that followed a shaggy denim and shimmery iridescent redos.

Yet oftentimes playing the hits can bring the biggest successes, something undeniable with the Nike Shox Ride 2 in an all black colorway. It’s a flooded treatment for this shoe, draped from head to toe in jet black, yet keener eyes will spot some swaps from the base model. Seemingly borrowing the brushed metal theme spotted at the top of the year, abstract prints take over the leather overlays while the Swoosh wears pronounced embroidery.

The Nike Shox Ride 2 in black should populate Nike.com sometime in the coming weeks — be ready for a $210 retail price in men’s sizing upon arrival.
