Travis Scott Attends Apple Keynote Wearing Vintage Apple Sneakers

With Apple unveiling the latest chapter of their handheld at their annual Keynote in Cupertino, CA, all eyes are on the iPhone 17 and its various iterations. The iPhone Air has been particularly buzzing as the tech giant brings its innovative and mega-slim design to phones, but we caught another Apple product on our radar.

Travis Scott was one of the guests of honor at the Apple Campus for the keynote; the Houston-based rapper and cultural mover attended the event not wearing one of his Nike or Jordan collaborations, but rather a pair of vintage Apple sneakers that are considered to be among the most sought-after grails in footwear. With no deadstock pairs or future retros promised, these made-for-promotion sneakers are truly elusive and typically end up in the hands of dedicated collectors or the ultra-rich.

Travis Scott is currently the number-one collaborative partner with Nike and Jordan Brand and will continue to be throughout his partnership. The Upcoming Travis Scott shoes, a collab with Fragment Design, is currently expected to launch on September 20th to heavy fanfare. However, there are not confirmed projects beyond that release and in 2026 as rumors continue to swirl about Travis putting out the flame that once set the sneaker world ablaze. As of the publishing of this article, Travis Scott is still a Nike/Jordan partner.

What is the Apple sneaker?

In the 1990s, Apple Computers made a basic white sneaker as a promotional product, gifted to employees. The shoes never released to the public, although pairs have appeared on marketplaces over the years such as eBay. Given the niche value of the shoes, the Apple sneakers are a very sought-after item among sneaker collectors as well as Apple enthusiasts.
