Building out from a 2019 one-off.

The Nike Air Force 1 Embraces Life As A Workboot In Three Colorways

As one of the Nike silhouettes in their storied history, the Nike Air Force 1 is used to taking on far more than its originally-intended basketball life. Used in all walks of life from servers to security guards, Nike is pouring out an homage to the workforce with an upcoming “retooling” via the Air Force 1 Workboot in three monochromatic variations.

To do justice to this shoe’s origin story, each of these three looks flow out from the Nike Air Force 1 Low “Flax Wheat” from 2019. A restock of that original pair is a part of this upcoming three-pack, initial SKU and all, obviously intended to ape the iconic autumnal look of the Timberland 6-inch boot. On top of an all-nubuck build, hex nut lace-stays at the top of the panel highlight the shift from casual to on-the-job, as does the shift in the laces’ texture.

Flanking that “Wheat” edition are two more flooded looks relying on the same neutral tonality. An all-black gussies up the nefarious, notorious colorway with brushed grey textures, while a “Wolf Grey” is equally fit for this wintery life and statement wear during the off-season.

The “Flax Wheat” is available now via Nike.com; its two partnering Nike Air Force 1 Low “Workboot” versions are due out as part of the Fall/Winter slate. All three retail for $130 a piece.
