Justin Bieber’s SKYLRK Teases First Sneaker Release

Justin Bieber’s SKYLRK Teases First Sneaker Release

Fresh off its first earnest drop, letting loose the Beach Slide in a few colorways towards the start of the month, the SKYLRK empire is only picking up steam. It appears the brand will soon allow us to make good on our stated purpose, extensively teasing a fresh SKYLRK sneaker design that could be upon us before the year is out.

If you’ve been tapped into Beib’s latest fashion foray, you’ll note that thought this may be the first sneaker the public recieves, it’s not the first one we’ve seen. A similar design to the one at hand first reared its head in April, boasting similar wide-slit mesh foundation and synthetic overlays. It’s unclear whether this is an evolution of the same model or a new design entirely, but from these photos, a sectioned sole unit and thin TPU cage stand as the defining features, here delivered in a light-blue-on-white and pink-on-white colorways, of course paired with cuffless SKYLRK socks.

As mentioned towards the top, much of SKYLRK’s initially teased designs leaned in a comfort direction, capitalizing on slides and slippers, making this additional vertical a notable one. Finn Rush-Taylor, lead designer for SKYLRK, boasts stints at adidas, Crocs, and PUMA in his resume, something that no doubt adds legitimacy to this latest branch of the Bieber-backed enterprise’s designs.

No release date nor details accompanied these teasers, but judging off of past distance between first look and launch, it seems likely that the shoe will drop sometime in the coming months. Check out all the new shots below.
