Matt Varga With GQ covers and Overwatch placements highlighting his newfound (or re-gained, really) star since moving to Los Angeles, it’s easy to forget that Luka Doncic is a family man at heart. The Wonder Boy and his fiance welcomed a baby girl at the end of 2023. That seminal event now inspires a brand-new edition of the Jordan Luka 4, the “Hčerka” colorway.
Translating to “daughter” in Slovenian, “Hčerka” sets up an easily digestible blend on the Luka 4, taking to traditional feminine tones, splayed out with “Flash Crimson” and “Sunset Pulse” coating the upper and outsoles. Though jet black branding interruptions at the heel and tongue break up the two-tone display, all told this is nearly a “Team Bank” colorway, or at least leans on the simplistic configuration that we see in those looks. On a narrative level, you’d have to imagine that this is a candidate for repeat application down the road, as other sentimental versions much the same way pairs like the “Lake Bled” have gotten multiple chapters.
