Soccer trends and animal prints have already been proven to be a winning formula with the adidas Samba “Cheetah.” Yet the beneficiaries of that playbook aren’t only in Germany. Nearly every major brand with some sort of history in football has at least one shoe that attempts to tap into demand for those worlds-collide shoes — it just so happens that some have stronger plausible deniability than others.

Even if on paper it’s working off the same prompt as its bitter competitor, Nike has really developed a monopoly on sleek snakeskin footwear. The Total 90 III’s plurality in that category expands with the “Fauna Brown” edition at hand, shifting away from sporty tones to something more decidedly luxe. As the linked previous did, this shoe keeps the platform intact from non-SE releases, centering the majority of its intrigue on this earthy yet still wild touch up top.

The Nike Total 90 III in “Brown Snakeskin” is likely to release as the Fall/Winter slate continues to develop. A $115 sticker price is expected upon release.
