His Airness and the Wonder Boy in focus as the season looms.

Only Marquette Athletes Can Get Their Hands On This Air Jordan 40 and Luka 4

College athletics kicking back up for fall has already given us plenty to admire in 2025, but the bulk of it has been on turf rather than the hardwood. After the Oklahoma Sooners and Florida Gators revealed Jordan cleats for their schools’ stars, Marquette now opens the floodgates for basketball, revealing a care package of PE heat exclusive to the Wisconsin campus.

The AJ40 “Marquette” PE would’ve shone brightest of this set simply as a numbered Jordan, but the scant number of colorways we’ve seen on the silhouette no doubt makes this moment mean more. Jordan Brand designers opt for a reined-in approach all the same, allowing the overall sleek profile of the Air Jordan 40 to shine by centering almost all of its team-centric tones down the midline and at the rear. To that end, the baby-blue collar pairs with a team brand on the tongue and a contrast eyestay notch to represent the Golden Eagles.

The Luka 4 for Marquette, by contrast, is entirely draped in squad shades and features far louder applications within those bounds. Encased in the wavy, oblong sidewall of the shoe, aquatic camo peers through, while translucent yellow traction and a patch of what appears to be patent leather add additional points of intrigue on this player exclusive. While not as headline-grabbing, Marquette athletes also received a complete complement of tees, ranging from simplistic spell-out text to a throwback Golden Eagle mascot.

If it wasn’t clear already, the Air Jordan 40 and Luka 4 “Marquette” will remain exclusive to the school. As is typically the case with PEs, however, there’s plenty to admire from afar—check out the images below to do exactly that.
