The Air Jordan 5 “Sunset” Returns Twenty Years Later

The sneaker's first retro lands Fall 2026.

The Air Jordan 5 “Sunset” Returns Twenty Years Later

Jordan Brand is digging up another gem from the 2000s. The Air Jordan 5 “Sunset”, originally released in 2006 as the first women’s-exclusive AJ5 ever, is set to return in Fall 2026 for its 20th anniversary.

No images of the 2026 version have surfaced yet, but we have no reason to believe the retro won’t look like the original. The “Sunset” 5s feature a white leather upper, a predominantly white midsole, and a grey tongue. Channeling the AJ5’s most renowned makeup, “Fire Red” accents appear on the interior lining and outsole. The titular “Sunset” orange hue, meanwhile, enters the fray on some of the AJ5’s hallmark features — namely the Jumpman logos, the lace lock, and the shark-tooth graphic on the midsole.

When do the “Sunset” 5s release?

Per @sneakerfiles, the Jordan 5 “Sunset” is due to return in Fall 2026 (meaning between next July and September). The sneaker will once again be a women’s exclusive. Scroll through detailed shots of the 2006 edition below if you need a refresher.
