Other imprints can get some of the credit in this regard, but at this point, Stussy really is the Swoosh’s premier launching point for bring-back efforts. After helping usher kicks like the LD-1000, Air Flight ’89, and Air Zoom Spiridon back into the consciousness, the turnaround time following the Irvine imprint’s efforts on the Baltoro is close to instant, as variations of the 1990 silhouette have started to hit the newswire.

For those who hold the silhouette’s original run close to their hearts, it’s the multicolor “Bright Spruce/Fruit Punch/Celestial Gold/Kumquat” edition here that’ll speak to you most, reviving the quirky OG colorway for a new generation. Speaking loudly and proudly to eccentric ’90s design language, teal overlays combine with lavender synthetic panels, red mesh, and a gold Swoosh for a decidedly ACG edition. An earthy “Baroque Brown/Midnight Navy” and a sleek “Black/Metallic Gold” round out this introductory trio, which should do well to serve a variety of tastes with this throwback boot.

The Baltoro made a short-lived return to shelves in the mid-2000s, and for this go-around, we see a bit of tinkering with the shape — a tad shorter and a tad slimmer for this reissue. Those active in the gaming world will know that this marks another moment where, strange as it may be to say, Nike’s presence within Fortnite tipped their hand; this exact pair was available for your avatar as far back as February.

Even if official images of these three Nike Baltoro looks do indicate a release soon, hard info on when that may be is in short supply at the moment. Understandably, we’re expecting a Holiday 2025 introduction with a $145 retail price.
