Joel Embiid’s Skechers SKX JE 1 Is Dropping On November 29th At Lapstone

Updated November 27th, 2025: The Skechers SKX JE1 signature is dropping on November 29th, 2025 exclusively at Lapstone & Hammer. The first 50 customers will receive an invite to a private VIP experience to meet Embiid himself.

The below article was originally published on November 26th.

It’s interesting times in Philadelphia. On one hand, Joel Embiid’s spot on the nightly injury report remains a cause for concern. On the other hand, the emergence of Tyrese Maxey as a top-five player at his position and the promise that VJ Edgecombe has already shown early into his rookie season might mean that, for the first time in a long time, the Sixers don’t live and die with Joel Embiid. Even if it’s been touch-and-go so far this season, Embiid remains one of the league’s most talented players, no doubt the justification as the Skechers SKX JE 1 comes to light.

Though Embiid put pen to paper with the American company in 2023, this marks the first signature shoe for the big man under their label. This now tacks onto the “SKX” family alongside the inline Resagrip, Float, and Reign, many of those models championed by peer signees Julius Randle and Terrance Mann. At first glance, the model revolves around a somewhat simplistic sole and upper, but trust that the devil is in the details. First off, a 3D-printed containment matrix of intersecting lines defines things up top, shifting into Move Foam insoles, 5GEN cushioning, Goodyear rubber traction, and a carbon plate, all featured within the platform.

Perhaps in a nod to the brand’s gift to the gold medal winner in 2024, a USA-style colorway is one of three colorways that’ve surfaced ahead of the model’s debut. It pairs with a nightlife-style “Black/Pink/Purple” and a can’t-miss “Neon Green/Black” as the debut editions of the Skechers JE 1. While specific release details, including retail pricing, remain under wraps, we can report an early December launch for the silhouette. Catch official product images embedded below.
