Much the same way that you’ll rarely see anyone pulling out Michael Jordan’s initial run of signature shoes on the hardwood any longer, the Nike Air Force 1 Low is no doubt outmoded as actual performance wear. Yet you can’t tell the story of the model without beginning in basketball.
With the latest colorway of Bruce Kilgore’s design, Beaverton is aiming at threading the needle between its hardwood bona fides and its arc as a lifestyle icon. Though roundball lace stays partially tell this story, you’ll need to flip to the insoles to really see that plain, as a hoop with sunset backgrounds makes the inspiration behind this edition clear. That picturesque touch further tints translucent platforms, before splaying into more traditional fare with black and white leather anchoring. Suede lace stay panels are the only additional touch that breaks from that established color scheme.
Look for the Nike Air Force 1 Low “Orange Peel” to hit Nike.com and partnering retailers in the coming months, likely closer to Spring 2026 than before the end of 2025. Retail pricing is currently unconfirmed, but expect it to hover around the typical $115 mark.
