Original article published December 5th, 2025:

As 2025 windows down, the Nike Pegasus Premium has claim to being one of the Swoosh’s most important models in recent memory. While it may not top many “sneaker of the year” lists, it’s been the face of the brand’s running reorientation, something that we claimed helped “restore the feeling” of Beaverton’s biggest historical on-foot innovations.

Countless seasonal colorways have now populated the newswire in recent months, and at first glance, a “Caldera Brown” variation aligns well with the colder climates we’re currently facing down. However, the key piece of intrigue is with the removal of the lateral side Swoosh, allowing symmetry with the medial yet no doubt making for a more low-key profile. Perhaps this is one tooled for those who have oppositonal viewpoints on loud branding, or maybe it’s just that the silhouette has now established itself enough to feel confident ditching the Nike stamp.

The Nike Pegasus Premium “Caldera Brown” is currently listed on retailer release calendars for December 18th, carrying the usual $210 retail price.
