False alarm, everyone. Speculation ran rampant in the wake of dotSWOOSH’s latest social media teaser, plopping a desktop gaming setup in the middle of a lush field. While the accessories included in that low-poly rendering turned out to be more red herring than foreshadowing, indeed Beaverton’s online and digital imprint had something in store: the dotSWOOSH “Touch Grass” colorway of the Nike ReactX Rejuven8.
For those that somehow haven’t heard the phrase, “Touch Grass” is the next-gen version of “get a life,” particularly relevant in this sphere as .SWOOSH continues its overtures to gaming. Though they briefly diverged with the “Dirty Triple White” Air Force 1 capsule, the sub-brand’s overall focus on gaming has brought them to retro cartridge classics on the Air Max 1 and the sports game world with the Total 90 III SP.
For those who prefer online gaming or binge sessions, dotSWOOSH now provides a way to evade the immortal diss in comfort-forward fashion. Should you not want to trot your setup into the great outdoors in the way that dotSWOOSH’s socials did, taking the reverse angle might be just as effective, something you can do with the pixelated green packaging or the hay-coated colorway for Nike’s recovery slide.
